💰 Do You Have Access To Meta’s New Carousel Feature?
If you’re looking for something new to test in your Meta ad account, this one’s for you.
Meta has quietly rolled out a fresh feature that could change how your catalog campaigns perform and the Pilothouse team is already putting it to the test.
Here’s what you need to know:
Meta is introducing a new carousel display option at the ad level for standard video and static ads.
If you have a product catalog connected and both “catalog” and “all format display options” are enabled, you’ll now see the ability to serve your ad as either a carousel or a collection.

The carousel option is the newer feature. It looks and feels like a dynamic catalog ad with an intro card. Your static or video asset leads as the first card, followed by dynamically selected products from your catalog that link directly to PDPs.
💡 Meta’s AI determines which products to show based on what’s most likely to convert.
The collection option functions similarly to what we’ve seen in feeds over the past year, with products appearing beneath your main creative.
To check if you have access:
1️⃣ Edit an existing ad.
2️⃣ Look for the option labeled “All format display options enabled.”

If it’s there, you’re one of the first to test this feature!
The Pilothouse team is currently running experiments across multiple accounts to compare carousel vs. collection performance.
Early results are promising, especially for brands with strong product photography and a healthy catalog feed.
Our take? Explore your ad account, see if the feature’s live for you, and start testing.
