💰 Meta Improves Reminder Ads and Introduces Way to Target Tourists
With Christmas being less than 100 days away, Meta has improved their ad tools and added a few new features to help DTC brands with a physical storefront drive foot traffic and target tourists online.

1️⃣ Discount promo options
Meta has updated this feature with a more prominent code notification.
Advertisers can now highlight their discount code in an overlay ad, making it easier to view through mobile. Users who click through will automatically add the code at checkout. 👇
Currently, Meta is testing personalized discounts, which can help map out user journeys in the future.
2️⃣ Reminder Ads
Meta's also giving Reminder Ads a fresh new look. The text overlay on the image makes the promotion's end date more apparent and adds more urgency. 🔔
Meta will also increase the number of reminder notifications an advertiser can send to grab the attention of high-intent shoppers searching for deals.
3️⃣ Site Links
Meta will now allow advertisers to add multiple site links to an image of a video ad in the Facebook Feed.
Brands can now lead shoppers to different landing pages. The categories will appear as tabs at the bottom of the ad.
4️⃣ Drive In-Store Purchase Activity
For ecommerce brands with a brick-and-mortar presence, there's a new way to drive in-store traffic and purchases.
This new promotion type will allow advertisers to target people most likely to shop in person by looking at their past engagement history and location settings.
5️⃣ Targeting tourists
If you’ve been searching for flights to New York, don’t be surprised when you start getting Meta Ads about stores near your hotel. ✈️
Meta is targeting winter break tourists so brands can capture seasonal sales. Advertisers can now target users who are in the middle of trip planning and looking for things to do in a particular city.
