A call to action is a must if you want to convert passive viewers into buyers.
And contrary to popular belief, you don't need to wait until the end of a super long ad to get customers to take action.
Avery, Lead Content Manager at Pilothouse and Podcast host of Ad-venturous, explains:
"I believe the best CTAs these days do not necessarily only live at the end of a video. It's more important now than ever to give folks a clear direction and motive when producing short-form video content."
Ask yourself these three questions:
1️⃣ What's the desired result?
2️⃣ What do they need to do?
3️⃣ Is there a time crunch?
Think of your CTA like a verbal map to take someone through to a conversion.
Start by dangling the old carrot (desired results) and then give clear instructions (which should just be clicking on the ad or anything else that pertains to your business specifically), and lastly, add in any timeline they need to follow if you've got a sale going or are limited on stock.
👉 Other ways to make your Reel’s CTA stand out: Create a branded CTA text sticker or a custom audio that includes your CTA.
The takeaway?
Don't leave your CTA until the end of your video.
Get customers to take action early, whether by visiting your ecommerce store or learning more about a promotion using both visual and audio.
