💡 Is Your Website Content Accessible?
Is your site accessible to all users?
Not all websites cater to people with disabilities, and those who fail to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) may find themselves in hot water.
What’s the Americans with Disabilities Act?
The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) outlines that all business websites should be accessible. Meaning that website content can be easily understood, navigated, and interacted with by all users.
Ecommerce owners should create an inclusive environment for anyone with visual, auditory, motor, or cognitive impairments.
Businesses that aren’t ADA-compliant may face fines or potential lawsuits.
Here are a few ways to make sure your site is ADA-compliant:
1️⃣ Offer alternative text for images.
2️⃣ Add captions or transcripts to video content.
3️⃣ Make it easy to resize text.
4️⃣ Create a simple navigation structure.
5️⃣ Create enough color contrast between your background and text color.
👉 Use this free tool WCAG Color Contrast Checker to see if your site colors pass the test.
The takeaway?
Look into digital accessibility tools like UserWay, which can make your website more inclusive for all users.
You wouldn’t want a user to abandon their purchase because your site experience is too overwhelming or difficult to decipher!

While the U.S. and China have agreed on a 90-day tariff pause, business owners still feel anxious and wonder what's next.
Aaron Rubin, CEO of ShipHero, predicts that the 145% tariff on China is not coming back. We may see larger tariffs on specific categories in a few months, but tariffs will be reduced on categories like apparel.
